Meet Allison Pasch.
Founded and designed by Allison Pasch, CortiçAmor was created from a love for hats, a passion and education in Sustainability, and from a desire to look and feel her best. Discovering there wasn’t a hat on the market that had everything she was looking for, a visor that was beautiful, sustainable, ethical, and that provided adequate sun coverage, she decided to create one herself.
In creating the design, she chose “quality over quantity,” a sustainable fashion mantra. One visor with different looks (from an interchangeable headband design).
Thinking back on her beloved 6-months spent exploring her heritage in Portugal, she remembered about the beautiful, sustainable cork fabric she learned about and fell in love with. She decided this “vegan leather” was the perfect material for what she was looking to create!
After a summer of sewing and perfecting the design, she returned to Portugal, because the Portuguese know cork the best!
By a chance meeting, she found the perfect factory. An artisanal, family-owned cork factory who also believes in, and practices, sustainability, ethical production, and quality craftsmanship.
And thus, CortiçAmor was created.
